The Wisconsin Psychological Center, LLC is a clinic that provides outpatient mental health services, including individual, group and marriage therapy, psychological assessments, and psychological consultation for adults, adolescents and families. We also provide consultation to organizations, and our services are trauma-informed and emphasize a solution-focus treatment approach.

Marcelo Trinidad-Carrillo, Ph.D.

Psychologist/Clinic Director

Dr. Marcelo Trinidad-Carrillo obtained his Doctoral degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a Licensed Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin, listed in the National Registry of Health Service Providers in Psychology, and is a member of the International Obsessive Compulsive Disorder Foundation and of Division 42 of the American Psychological Association. Dr. Trinidad has been practicing for the last 23 years, and he is the owner and clinic director of the Wisconsin Psychological Center, LLC. 


​Dr. Trinidad specializes in the treatment of adults dealing with multiple life circumstances and mental health problems including depression and other mood disorders, adjustment difficulties, anxiety, grief, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder, domestic abuse, trauma recovery, relationships problems, and acculturation problems, among others. He also conducts psychological evaluations for multiple purposes.


​In his therapy work, Dr. Trinidad emphasizes the use of cognitive-behavioral therapists and interpersonal therapy. In doing so, he uses evidence-based treatment with a collaborative approach to help his clients realize, understand, and change cognitive appraisals through cognitive restructuring and thus reduce or eliminate functional impairments.  His treatment is trauma-informed, culturally specific, and person-centered.


Dr. Trinidad is bilingual in English and Spanish and has extensive knowledge and experience working with the Latina-Latino-Latinx and Hispanic community.

Dr. Trinidad is approved to practice telepsychology across jurisdictions under the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).

Julieann Trimmel, LPC, SAC, ICS
She/Her
Licensed Professional Counselor
Substance Abuse Counselor

Ms. Julieann Trimmel earned her Master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Trauma Specialist, a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, and an Independent Clinical Supervisor. She also holds certifications in Trauma Counseling, EMDR Level I, and Reiki Level I.


​Ms. Trimmel specializes in working with adults in individual, group, couple, and family therapy addressing multiple psychological problems. She also specializes in the assessment and treatment of substance abuse problems, co-occurring disorders, trauma issues, and acculturation stressors.


​By working in therapy emphasizing a client-centered approach and blending this with the use of cognitive-behavioral and solution-focused techniques, Ms. Trimmel helps her clients address both short and long-term psychological issues. She also emphasizes the inclusion of culturally specific approaches which support the person's cultural and spiritual values and beliefs.


Ms. Trimmel is bilingual in English and Spanish and has a wide range of experiences and knowledge working with the Latina-Latino-Latinx and Hispanic community. Additionally, she has spent time studying and volunteering in a variety of Mental Health and Substance Abuse clinics throughout Mexico.

Aaron Dickson-Baures, Ph.D.

Psychologist

Dr. Dickson is a Licensed Psychologist, having earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Ph.D. in School Psychology from Northern Illinois University.


He has experience offering psychological services to children, adolescents and adults in diverse settings, including schools, hospitals and clinics, and he specializes in bilingual Spanish-English assessment.


Dr. Dickson is passionate about helping others and works closely with his clients to achieve greater internal peace while learning how to cope with a range of mental health problems and life stress. Services offered include individual therapy, group therapy, consultation for parents and other family members, and comprehensive psychological assessments.


Dr. Dickson works with clients in English and Spanish.
